I managed to grab some keys for S2 Games new MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) called 'Strife' which aims to lower the barrier for people to enjoy MOBA games like Dota.
S2 Games are no strangers to Linux or MOBA games, they have worked on Linux games for years and they created Heroes Of Newerth.
Strife is what they are calling a second generation MOBA.
You can see a video below of me battling it out online:

I have to say, I was pretty damn impressed for a game that is still in the early stages.
It does seem a lot friendlier than Dota2 that's for sure, currently you can only talk to the enemy team when the game finishes, making it less hostile right away.
In Strife it seems the only things you use real money for are to buy gems, although that system doesn't seem to be active right now.
I could easily see myself playing this, a lot.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: liamdaweQuoting: mcworoxGuys i can not install this game on linux. Could someone help me?What have you tried?
What happened?
We need more details otherwise we have to get our crystal balls out.
So ... I'm a Linux newbie and I'm still learning. I downloaded and extracted the game. I entered the terminal (I use Ubuntu 12) and I was browsing through folders to the folder where I extracted. In the game folder, the 'bin' folder had files "strife" and "update", and I thought this would be the installers of the game. I gave permission for these two files, the first to open gave the following error:
"root@Nogueira:/home/matheus/StrifeClient/bin# ./strife
Crash log saved as '/root/.config/strife/game/crash_0.0.1.12_03.log'
Segmentation fault"
When trying to open the second file (the "update"), opened a window of the game, appeared a "logging in" message and nothing else.
What do I do? Did I do something wrong? I really want to play :(

Don't. Ever. Start. Things. As. root.
Apart from that, the file strife in the bin/ directory is the executable you're going to run. If it crashes, you should probably look into that crash log.

So I think it's going incompatibility problem. When I run the file strife, it closes soon after generating a crash log. Could you recommend me an operating system that you know that this game runs? thank you

Like our local medical officer said, check the crash log, what does it say?
