Steam is continuing its raft of updates, after adding in a recently updated section they have now added user a controlled tagging system.
If you wish to simply filter Linux games it's now under the "Games" drop down list under Mac OS X.
When filtering from your new "For You" menu, it seems it picks up your operating system automatically as well, at least when trying some tags for myself it automatically set me to "Linux/SteamOS".
It's quite different from Steam's original tagging system that developers set on their own games since it now allows us to set any tag, including in your own language.
It's fantastic to see Steam continually update the website to make things better and easier for users, where other sites have simply stagnated.
I hope Desura's talk of new design won't turn out to be vapour-ware. It's been promised for a long time now. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Yes, exactly. I always hated how you could only place a game under one category, and how it often failed to sync properly. Ideally, I want that to be completely replaced by grouping the games by your own tags (switchable to popular tags made by other people or friends). Add a way to filter out certain tags, and I'm happy.

That is interesting, but not sure if in a good way or not... This basically means that smaller communities will end up with a subset of games tagged. May need to run Steam in English just to gen any meaningful results.

You'd think they might be able to offer second languages in the tags options somewhere. So your tags are automatically thrown into the default language, but you see secondary language tags also. English as a default second language would be a clever idea, surely. (And this would make also make a lot of sense for users who speak something a bit more exotic than say French or English. There's really no reason why a Korean wouldn't want to see a "RPG" tag for example.)
