Steam Lights The Green Light For More Linux Games

By -
Another batch of titles have been greenlit to be on Steam, we give you the run-down on what ones you can expect to see on Linux.

The list below are all of the titles that specifically listed Linux as a supported platform.

My Stand-Out Game Picks
These two I personally feel look the most interesting.

Murder Miners - A highly rated game originally on Xbox Live Indie Arcade, an FPS game with blocky graphics and game-play inspired by Halo.

Matador - An isometric vehicle action game with some really nice looking graphics.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=RHtRDVpNV1M

All the rest

CATDAMMIT! Director's Cat - A rather fancy looking arcade game where you play a milkoholic hobo cat!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=V9UAPGiNMhM

The Crack - Tower defence and FPS hybrid.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ICkqItwyUUM

Cuebox : The Real 3D Pool - Pretty much as the title says, 3D pool!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=9MRjCojhaZA

Detective Grimoire - Adventure game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0JW71iRrSi0

Energy Hook - Combines grappling hook, a jet pack and racing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TGbJ4ZFtcBE

Gear Jack - A slide and jump game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=syDIzHztsOU

Kromaia - A fast paced arcade shooter, looks like it can get pretty insane.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yyUmq3n3xS8

KTBG: Kill The Bad Guy - An odd puzzle game where your objective is to set traps for a bad guy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=msgthWAiNoc

Mage's Initiation: Reign of the Elements - A 2D point and click RPG/Adventure game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uDGuVvivwVM

Master Spy - A stealth based platformer game with interesting looking retro cutscenes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=hqIWu_kr2LM

The Mims Beginning - A cute looking strategy game where you control a bunch of little "Mims".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=F4YoQZmaf9s

Poltergeist: Pixelated Horror - A puzzle game where you play as a ghost trying to scare people.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=yusTdMhoUpk

Reversion: A Sci-Fi Adventure Game - A science-fiction Point & Click Adventure Game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=b4eMFLZQoYY

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball - A fast paced dodgeball game with robots!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=iYsp-x1Osso

Steam Battle - A free 2 play massively multiplayer vehicle warfare game with a steampunk theme.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NGTOV7Tdb1U
This would be in my top picks, but since it is free 2 play I can't tell if it will be a lame pay 2 win game or not. I hope it is not pay 2 win as it looks quite fun.

Sunrider - A freeware anime/manga style visual novel/tactical RPG.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ycm2EMhWYdA

Tech Executive Tycoon - A business management Simulation/Strategy game that puts you in the role of the CEO of a tech company.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=23FH77rrwGI

I hope you guys find this useful me picking them all out, the full list can be found here. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

The Mims has a playable demo, and I had a lot of fun with it this afternoon. I will certainly buy it once it comes out on Steam; RTS games are few and far between for Linux, and this is at least as original a concept as the OSS game Globulation, and has some pretty spiffy graphics.

NeonXSZ also needs our help getting Green-lighted for Linux.

Help show this game dev that we Linux people are serious about our gaming and give it a +1.
