Warsow is a fast paced first person shooter with some pretty stylish cartoon graphics, they have just released a brand new beta with big changes.

Truth be told, I haven't played it in a very long time due to not being much of a fan of super fast FPS with unrealistic weapons, but this is one of the best ones around.

Changes
FXAA antialiasing.
Revamped wdm2 map visuals.
Updated input code to use XInput2 for Linux.
Transparent items in warmup.
Knockback code rewritten for smoother knockbacks.
5 new songs in the soundtrack.
Added RGB shadowmaps.

I would really like the "Arena games" to have an option for a slower, more realistic (as realistic an arena shooter could get anyway...) gameplay. I never liked this bunny-hoping at all.

That is my issue with it, it's too much for me with people bouncing here there and everywhere.

That is exactly how I like FPS games. Can't stand that slow CS/CoD stuff :/

Warsow is one of the pioneers of Linux gaming.
It was around when Linux only sported a handful of games that were on par with big $$$ MS titles.
It looks like they are getting ready for Steam Greenlight, which should be a formality, given the quality of the game and the the overwhelming support on Steam.
It's definitely my favorite Arena shooter. Fast-paced, Competitive, Great movement, Great maps and good balance. If you like fast-paced fps games, You'll love warsow.

It is not a joke, it is just that not everyone likes this super-fast paced style. So the best would be an OPTION to reduce the player speed and most importantly the jump from twice the jump of Michael Jordan to the jump height of the average person (who also happens to wear armor and carry a big gun weighting many kilos... Except for the low gravity levels).

i like super fast paced FPS games, but warsow is little too much , because of the wall jumping stuff.
i prefer Xonotic or Alien Arena mostly.

If you want a slower realistic paced game, then you play one. Saying a game that revolves around fast paced classic FPS action should have mechanics that slow it down to be more like modern FPS games is absolutely silly and contradicts the point.

No one is saying this should have mechanics to slow it down, are they?

I simply don't like fast bunny hopping games like this which is why I do stick to slower games.
