The news just keeps flowing, it now looks like XCOM: Enemy Unknown is closing in on a Linux release.

The Linux history on the SteamDB entry for XCOM: Enemy Unknown is filling up with more Linux related changes, the most recent is this one:
Quote11 minutes ago Changed App Config
launch/2/executable: binaries/linux/game.x86_64 › binaries/linux/xcom.sh
launch/3/description: XCOM Enemy Within › Play XCOM Enemy Within
launch/3/executable: xew/binaries/linux/game.x86_64 › xew/binaries/linux/xcom_ew.sh

Before that was this as well:
Quoteabout 2 hours ago Changed App Config
launch/2/arguments: -arch=i386 › -arch=x86_64
launch/2/config/osarch: 32 › 64
launch/2/description: Linux 32bit › XCOM Enemy Unknown
launch/2/executable: xcom.sh › binaries/linux/game.x86_64
launch/3/description: Linux 64bit › XCOM Enemy Within
launch/3/executable: xcom.sh › xew/binaries/linux/game.x86_64

Of course SteamDB is not confirmation of anything, but it's always good supporting evidence.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a remake of one of the best games ever made which shares a similar name. It is your job to fend off the alien menace in turn based combat with base building included as standard.

So, do you think it will drop soon? I sure hope so as it's highly rated and looks seriously fun. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
