KiloBite is an the next logical step for snake, 3D! A simple HighScore chaser with a beautiful retro look; which can be left on or mixed and matched to achieve a look you like. The game is currently on Itch.io.

I decided to give it a go and found it to be actually decent!

I do eventually get a decent score...

The game was fun to play and is actually quite challenging on the faster speeds. I think the retro-screen styling is beautifully crafted and just looks fantastic, the retro-screen is much like that in You Have To Win The Game.
When you try it on the fastest speed it's pretty much "AHHHHHHHH" *CRASH*. I also can't help but think it needs a cheesy voice-over going "that's a high score!".
It's nice to see we get unique arcade games like this on Linux.

I cannot wait to see if they take it any further, different modes with changing colours would work out quite well for it I think.

The game picked up my controller perfectly as well which was a real boost!

You can pick it up for free on Itch using the "Name your own price" model where you can pay $0 or whatever you want, so chip in a few if you liked it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
