Project NEX makes some pretty bold statements about bringing arena FPS games into the modern gaming circuit, but can they hit their mark?
They plan to offer a free 2 play multiplayer supported by paid-for cosmetic items (so no pay 2 win), and a single-player version.
While similar to both Xonotic and Warsow, Project NEX will offer full matchmaking support with a ranking system, so no hunting for servers needed.

They are looking to get onto Steam's greenlight, so if you like the look & sound of Project NEX then go give them a vote.

Finally an arena FPS not built with outdated (in terms of features) builds of Quake2!

Quoting: liamdaweMm, we will see. It's refreshing to see a full time developed Arena game.Quoting: n30p1r4t3Finally an arena FPS not built with outdated (in terms of features) builds of Quake2!Performance may take a hit though, since it is Unity which isn't the fastest engine around especially for a fast paced FPS.

The movement looks similar to Warsow.
I don't think the video mentioned strafe jumping/bunnyhopping but I am a huge fan of this in arena shooters, I hope it's included although I suppose I could possibly live without it.
Looking forward to the weapons demonstration video

It does look very similar to warsow, hopefully they make enough improvements to justify a switch.
No serverhopping sounds great, that's the kind of stuff they should focus on.
Gamemodes, huds, maps and other smallball stuff can be easily be provided by the community if the underlying game is worth it.

atm i'm a huge quake live fan(runs perfectly in wine, so it's not much of an issue there's not a native version, since it pretty much runs just as well as on windows), i simply love arena shooters, loved unreal tournament 1999 as well, both were great games, tried warsow and xonotic too, were good but really dead, maybe 1 or 2 maps were populated on warsow, on xonotic 5-10 maps had some players on
