Star Conflict is a beautiful looking space-based free 2 play MMO that has finally be confirmed for Linux. We have known it was going to happen after the previous hints (here and here), but it is good to get solid confirmation.

Writing on their forum "Antibus" a forum admin noted this:
QuoteIn today's post you will hear about the preparations for the 0.10.0 update! As you can understand from the update number, it promises to be quite big, so let's talk about it in more detail:
We'll start with the news that our game now officially supports Linux. Yes, that's right, now Star Conflict can be run on all three major operating systems — Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
Last week we managed to perform tests and confirm full functionality of the game on Ubuntu, version 13.04.

Something to note:
QuoteFor correct processing of all the sounds in the game, some pilots may need to install libasound2-plugins:i368 (Steam OS and Ubuntu 64). Other distributions may need lib32-alsa-plugins.

They are also adding in Oculus Rift support, and lots of other general game-play improvements non of us will understand since we haven't played it yet anyway.

So, who will be joining me in a cool glass of epic juice? I cannot wait to get flying around with everyone in Star Conflict.

It doesn't look like it is out just yet, but it is now confirmed to be only a matter of getting the next update out.

Update: The developers confirmed the update will be rolled out later this week! While you can download it in the client, it won't work until they actually release it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Nice indeed. And maybe we`ll see another f2p MMO from Gaijin Entertainment: War Thunder. There is OpenGL client for OSX, so... :). Some "trail" here:
