It is interesting to see a developer go from WiiU -> Linux/Mac, I wonder what about the WiiU port makes it easier to bring to our platform?
I have been wanting to play this game since I first heard about it, anyone else with me on that? It's really good to see that it is still coming our way.
About
Daniel was just an average guy. He was a great videogame player, a big fan of sci-fi movies, and a novice RPG player. In the midst of an RPG, he was teleported to a castle. At first, Daniel believed that he was having a massive hallucination. Eager to keep playing within the RPG to create his own adventure, he decides to go along for te ride until his delirium comes to an end.
Once inside the castle, Daniel is inhabited by a mysterious shadow. This dark spirit can communicate with Daniel, but not control him. The shadow has a simple goal: to escape from the prison of Daniel's body. There's a catch, though-- the dark spirit can only escape if Daniel perishes.
Struggling against enemies in the castle, with the dark spirit attempting to murder him at every turn. Daniel finally discovers his goal: to kill Harnakon, the master of the castle, and free the Pure-Spirits who are trapped within. While the stage seems set for a typical role-playing adventure, Daniel will soon discover that everything is not what it seems...

QuoteThis is still being worked on. I've received a progress report over the last month from Fran that it's making good headway. The work done on the WiiU port is providing a solid springboard for both the Linux and Mac versions to proceed well.
I don't have much more to say than I've been told it's making good progress and is still an intended release.

I played the game on Windows when i still had it installed. It's a good bit of fun, although the humour may not be for everyone. It's nothing offensive, just occasionally very lame, the kind you get from six year olds. Aside from a couple Smell my fart-jokes, the general atmosphere was enjoyable. The combat is quite exactly as it seems in the trailer, you have some room for tactics but it's basically hack'n'slash > retreat for a potion > repeat, with the better man eventually coming on top. Magic gave the game a real nice change regarding combat in particular. It's not easy.
I didn't finish the game, i got stuck on a boss somewhere around mid-game, but that was 10-15 hours in already so it's not too short either. As with any game, one could rush through faster. I explored everything.

That's what I get for not logging into Steam for a few days. Honestly surprised I even got a response. It does look fun, from what I've seen. That's definitely getting it added to my wishlist.

It could be that porting the game to any platform other than the original helps with most other ports because the code has to be cleaned up and made more generally portable. Of course there is also the possibility that they had to make it work with OpengGL or some other more universal library for the Wii version, and that is also available for Linux and OS X.
