Sadly this one seems to have been missed, it was released last month for Linux, but as it's not a brand new game (only new to Linux) it didn't pop up as new to Linux on Steam. This is after at the start of last month they pushed out an "unofficial" Linux version for tester.

About
Ballpoint Universe Infinite is a shoot-em-up adventure game featuring artwork entirely drawn in ballpoint pen. Explore immaculate worlds, discover the secrets of the doodles, and customize your Ink-Ship for battle!

One thing to note is that for some reason the Linux version wasn't able to even get the partial controller support the Windows version has. Although looking further it seems it's not even working with game-pads on Windows right now anyway.

It was originally crowdfunded on Kickstarter in April of 2012, but didn't have plans for Linux back then so it's good to see this happen anyway.

I really wish Steam did bump games up on the Linux section of Steam if they have just pushed a Linux version, it sure would make it easier for gamers and developers.

It's obviously a side-scrolling shooter, not a platformer. Personally I had my fill of these on the C64 and Amiga back in the day. The art style looks cool though.

I beg to differ, it has a bit of all of it in which is why I called it an "action platformer" you run along and jump around platforms and there is shooter action in it.

I stand by my title ;)

One thing they need to fix on steam is where you go to search in the SteamOS / Linux section. Down at the bottom it always says 0-100. It also doesn't show every game available for linux.

It is the same for Mac, that list is of the "Newest" games, not a full list.
