Before we told you about the CryEngine SDK that came up on SteamDB, well more has happened and according to the EULA it is the free SDK for CryEngine 3.

Looks like Crytek are moving forward with their Linux support on Steam. If you see on the SteamDB page here, their is a link to the EULA, which notes inside it:
QuoteLIMITED LICENSE AGREEMENT for the use of the CryEngine 3 Free SDK ("SOFTWARE")

The page still only lists Linux as the supported OS too, could that be just a little wink in our direction? Either way we know CryEngine will support Linux.

I can't wait to see the first game to get the title of the first CryEngine Linux game, who will it be? Place your bets guys. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

CryEngine 3? So, that means that not only are they bringing CryEngine 4 (or simply labelled CryEngine now) to Linux, but they are bringing CryEngine 3 as well?

Doesn't this mean CryEngine 3 games can now be ported to Linux? (Star Citizen, Sniper 2, Crysis 3?)

FarCry 3 in Linux. Won't happen, but would be so adorable!

Far cry 3 has nothing to do with cryengine. Only far cry 1 was from crytek.

If the Cryengine 3 will be ported to Linux i'll be not surprised to see all the Crysis series as well.
