Dead Synchonicity: A Dark, Dystopian Sci-fi

You wake to find yourself in a brutal refugee camp. The world has changed forever. Civilisation as you knew it has collapsed. An unexplained disaster known as the "Great Wave" has disrupted energy, communication, even the fabric of spacetime seems to be unravelling. A mysterious sickness is spreading, inflicting its victims with supernatural abilities while causing their bodies to rapidly break down in a gruesome death.

Dead Synchronicity is a mature, story-oriented adventure game with a unique style. It's currently seeking funds on Kickstarter. They've just announced Linux support as standard, rather than as a stretch goal as originally planned.

There's not very many really good ones, and this looks like a really good one!

I wish there was a Linux demo so I could try it for myself :/

Yeah, they haven't pulled a Linux build together yet, only accepted help from developers in their area (it's made in Unity 3D). I guess your best bet for now is to watch a youtube review or playthrough:

Well, if anybody is interested in becoming an in game character in Dead Synchronicity, some of the fans made a facebook competition with an in game character as reward for the winner. ;)

You only have to post a conspiracy theory regarding the start od the "Great Wave" there and afterwards a poll with all theories will be made to choose the winner.

I tried the demo recently and I liked it. The game’s got a nice atmosphere and an interesting story.

Final 12 hours, last chance!
They've reached their main goal, and SO close to the first stretch goal.
