Earth: Year 2066 looks like it could be amazing in a few months when it has some more content, are you ready for yet another survival game?

The destruction in this does look quite funny, and with reasonable graphics as well, will be adding it to my wishlist and can't wait to see it grow.

About
Earth: Year 2066 is a first person sci-fi apocalyptic open-world game where your main aim is to survive. Set in post-apocalyptic future, you take on the role as a survivor of a nuclear war between USA and China. You became a mutant because of radiation. You need to get to the safe place, called "GOD'S HOUSE" to survive. Dangerous journey is waiting for you. Earth: Year 2066 is inspired by Half-Life and Fallout.

Current Features
  • Early survival mode
  • In the current state it similar with arena mode. You shoot enemies and try not to die. In next versions we are going to make it like Day Z or Rust with a lot of players, npcs, exploration and loot.
  • Part of the game world with some of the locations.
  • Droid as a playable character.
  • Droid moves like a human with realistic camera movement and freedom of movements.
  • Realistic damage reaction.
  • Some types of enemies.
  • Early destructable environment.
  • Oculus Rift support.
  • Windows, Linux and Mac support.

Planned
  • Coop(in may update) and multiplayer.
  • Story Mode with a lot of quests and characters.
  • Large open-world.
  • Mutants, zombies, raiders, survivors and other types of enemies and npcs.
  • A lot of guns/armors to customize.
  • Unique craft system.
  • Steam features: achievements, trading cards and other.
  • More languages.

Please more optimized Linuxgames Apr 17, 2014
I am out as well but not because of DayZ or things like that but because of system requirements. My main PC is an AMD E350 with a GeForce 9500GT and well able to run more demanding titles like Xonotic and UT2k4 but I the last time I came across a lot of bad optimized titles like Paranautical Activities or Sir you are being hunted. I am not shure if this is an issue of the graphics engines used but anything that looks identical / worse than UT99 and slows down my AMD E350 will not find its way to my PC.

Don't get me wrong: More games for Linux are great but not if they require much more ressources than equally or better looking games from 6-10 years ago.
