Project Cars is probably one of the best looking racing simulations that has ever been on the radar for Linux. They have announced the release of the game will start this November.

QuoteWhen it comes to next-gen visuals, world class physics, racing authenticity, career freedom, and variety of content, Project CARS remains the most anticipated and premier choice for race fans.

Jump into the seat of a kart and forge a career with the aim of one day winning a prestigious 24hr race in a LM Prototype car, battle bumper-to-bumper for a third consecutive championship in the world of Touring, or simply take an exotic supercar out for a beautiful drive along the coast.

Whatever your journey, Project CARS is your destination...

PROJECT CARS WILL BE RELEASED STARTING NOVEMBER

It is possibly the Linux/Steam OS release will see a delay as they do say "starting November", so it may be a staggered roll out across platforms.

I have to say this and Gas Guzzlers Extreme both have me very excited for the future prospects of racing sims on Linux. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Am not a fan of auto sims, but this one looks like benchmarking tool, and it's sexy.
It's like a sexy silly girl. You can't take her seriously, but you can't take her out of your head either.

Sold!

Definetly, with the official release of the Steam Machines and of games like this one, fall 2014 will be really hot for Linux gamers...
