Universe Edge is a single-player spaceship-building game that just looks fantastic, we could be onto a real winner for sci-fi fans.

What will you be able to do?
  • Build and design your spaceship.
  • Fit your ship with equipments and weapons.
  • Manage your crew, assign jobs, trains skills.
  • Provide food source for your crew, craft items and tools.
  • Mine asteroids and land on planets to extract resources and materials.
  • Interact with other AI ships and factions.

The game has been inspired from Gnomoria, Eve Online, and The Sims. So, of course it features game-play aspects from all of them.

They are looking for votes on Steam's greenlight here and they will also be launching a Kickstarter this month, so keep an eye out! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

@c704710 weeks! or months. I'll make sure it won't get past 2 months :) I am using Unity engine, so moving to Linux/OSX should be easier, but with my past experience, there are tiny problems that might come up. So there's that. If no problem came up, then it could just be days ( I am hoping this is the case ) :)

Looks like another Space Colony-like. I loved that game, so I'll probably pick this up some time, when it's on Linux.
