Decent MMORPG games are something Linux still lacks, we have nothing close to World of Warcraft which is still extremely popular. So, can Blue Saga fill that gap? Probably not, but it's still charming.
Developed by one person in their spare time it's a mostly unknown title, but it does now have an official Linux version up on Desura.
Here's what the developer has to say about it
QuoteThis is a free mmorpg currently in development but released in a beta-version, so just download the game and start playing!
The game features retro pixel art and a gigantic world to explore, both by land and sea. There is only one person developing this game at the moment but updates are coming frequently.
My main inspiration sources for the game are: Zelda, Dark Souls, the One Piece anime and Pokémon amongst others, but more games are added into the mix as I make progress =D.
I don't expect it will gain much popularity as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to do and with 0 players online right now it's not very popular, but some of you may like it. I don't know exactly how far 1 person will get with making an MMORPG game, probably one of the hardest games to make.
If this was made into a story-based single-player RPG it may get somewhere.

Can't compare because I am not a big fan of MMORPG by myself, I get bored easily. It is nice that Runes of Magic and World of Warcraft run great with Wine, but yes, an official realease would be neat.
