The developers of Calibre 10 Racing Series have stated that they love Linux and a Linux version is based on how much demand there is for one.

QuoteWe love Linux and SteamOS. The SteamBox we got @SteamDevDays is enjoying superstar status in our office. Unfortunately we do lack resources bringing our engine to Linux right now. If enough people ask for it might change the situation.

Source - Head over there if you like the look of it and want to see it on Linux and let the developer know.

The game is currently in Steam's Early Access section, so it is by no means a finished game, but it already looks fantastic.

The game itself is a mix between a racer and a shooter with 4 Teams of 2. One driver and one shooter. Each Team battling it out to be the first to cross the finish line.

I have seen nothing like this, ever. It's so crazy that I have instantly fallen in love with it and I am a bit sad it's not already on Linux. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I was trying to figure out why so many linux gamers were posting to my thread all of a sudden, now it makes sense. It's great to see everyone come together for a similar cause :)

I hope it feels like Burnout Paradise instead of GRID.

I spent 4 hours last night trying to get Burnout running in Wine 1.7.18 on PlayOnLinux :(

I'll have to see more promo videos, it looks great.

Also looking forward to the "Arcade 90s Racing Game" for Linux :)

Looks like they may try to crowd fund it:

Wow, we are impressed the feedback on a potential linux version. Right now porting to Linux is out of our budget. Eventually going to Kickstarter to fund a Linux version could be interesting - what do you guys think of it?
