Unreal Tournament is coming to Linux with the brand new version and we have some fresh footage for you to ride that hype train to game land.

There's obviously nothing much at all to it, but it shows they are working quickly towards something resembling a playable game. Of course they aren't even remotely close to a release yet as you can tell from the video it's a very basic arena they are fighting in with no textures other than grey.

We will be keeping track of it and posting updates as they go, so you don't have to keep up with it all.

Remember the game will be free when it comes out supported by a marketplace that developers can place anything onto at a price where Epic Games take a small cut to support the main game. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I like the idea of dynamically changing maps with live physics controlled object/blocks for cover.

Turn down your mouse sensitivity Joe!

They didn't really show much in that video. If they were using the movement prototype put forth by Nick on the forum then there are some important movement mechanics which didn't get shown here.

Very exciting. I'm really anticipating UT4 FPS to be amazingly fun.

Very awesome. Will be spending loads of time in this game :) Hope it gives me back that old Flak Cannon antics as in DM-Zeto and such. Bring back the king of Arena FPS!

DM-CurseII!
I hope it will be present in the game in some form, I don't mind if it is another rework, if it is executed well.

Nice, but seen a port of Unreal Tournament before, I'd be more assured with a letter from the legal department stating all licensing issues are solved :)
