New Steam Beta Client Improves Big Picture Mode For Linux

Valve are doing their usual updating thing with Steam and have released an update that improves performance of the big picture mode.

It's great to see them polish up things for the normal Linux client while they also work on SteamOS. Personally I haven't used Big Picture mode much and don't see the need for it on a normal desktop PC. Useful if you hook up your normal PC to a big TV at anypoint though.

Improved performance in some cases with the Big Picture window out-of-focus/in-game. The biggest gain here is on Linux, but all platforms should see some benefit.
Fixed focus when entering the quit menu sometimes not being on the first item
Fixed Steamworks games that utilize the Daisy Wheel for text entry in Big Picture not showing it successfully if they were launched via a launcher or other multi-process scenario

Awesome, always use picture when I use my gaming pad. And to fix it to performe better is always good ^^.

I do use also BigPicture mode in SteamOS when I play certain games. Is one simple option to get Vsync to work for Unity3D games for example.

In a fresh install of OS its a big hand. Its far easy to use Steam. Installing, purchasing everything with BigP is a easy task.

No mouse need on BigP thats why i love it..i just hate mice. So BigP is a must.

Please Valve do a GREAT job on SteamController. I want to not even know where is my corsair mice! lmao!
