QuoteWarhammer 40k: Dawn of War II (Steam) starts to load gives no error and stops
I don't think that is actually fixed. It doesn't work when I try, and I've been trying with as many Wine releases as I can get my hands on. When they say it's fixed, what does that actually mean?
Can it get to the main menu, or is it just in a state that is suitable for debugging now?

Quoting: SabunAs mentioned in comment that bug was fixed, but there are other related bugs still open. Or at least they think it is. Feel free to reopen it if You are sure about it.QuoteWarhammer 40k: Dawn of War II (Steam) starts to load gives no error and stopsI don't think that is actually fixed. QuoteFeel free to reopen it if You are sure about it.I'm worried I wouldn't be able to supply enough technical information to prove otherwise, and it is a game that has faded out into obscurity thus may be a waste of their time. Thank you for the suggestion, if I feel I can prove otherwise I will alert them.

Quoting: SabunThen you don't have to worry about it. Most than likely all you will have to do is run game with set WINEDEBUG=+something wine game.exe("something" is a thing that developers want to hear about) and provide them with the the output. So don't hesitate and take an action.QuoteFeel free to reopen it if You are sure about it.I'm worried I wouldn't be able to supply enough technical information to prove otherwise, and it is a game that has faded out into obscurity thus may be a waste of their time. I've been unable to install Dawngate since 1.7.18 and this didn't fix it, sadly. I think it has something to do with the fact the installer is a .msi. Maybe I'll install it on a virtualbox and see if it runs afterwards. Before all this the game ran fantastically.

I was under the assumption it's a problem with Wine. It seems like it's because the Arch Linux package of WIne is compiled with a version of gcc that breaks things. Guess I'll have to wait 'til that's fixed.
