Unvanquished has its monthly alpha release that features masses of underlying changes as usual to get us all excited for the stable release to come.
New Stuff
New jetpack - A new model for the jetpack complete with animations, is it me or does the model look a bit plain compared to the human model?
Moving towards using google's Native Client.
General map updates to fix gamma issues and other bugs.
Texture Packs - This is by far the most interesting as it enables much faster loading time.

They still have a long way to go before it reaches a stable version, and until then they don't seem to get many players. Have any of you tested it? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I have to agree, Liam, the jetpack looks out of place, at least in that image. I appreciate all the effort that the developers are putting into Unvanquished, however.
