Warlock 2: the Exiled, a turn-based fantasy strategy game from Ino-Co Plus and published by Paradox Interactive has some hints towards a Linux version.

After watching the trailer I am extremely hopeful that it will come, of course a SteamDB entry isn't fool-proof and errors can happen, but we can hope right?

On the SteamDB for it, Linux is now listed on the OSList section:
QuoteChanged oslist – windows › windows,macos,linux

I have asked for clarification from the developers and will update this post on any response.

Looks like a decent game to have on Linux, it has mixed good and bad reviews on Steam. It also has a high metacritic score, so that's good.

About
The worlds have been shattered, and you have been exiled to one of these shards. The time has come to return to Ardania and seek vengeance on those who cast you out. Battle through the fractured realms inhabited by other exiles, hostile Mages and terrifying creatures. Once back in Ardania you will face your greatest threat: The United One and his four Vicars. Conquer all who oppose you, reclaim your home and take your revenge.

Warlock 2 is a turn-based strategy game of fantasy warfare. Rival against Great Mages, lead mighty armies into fierce battles, wield ancient magic and faith as your weapons.

Experience the challenge in single or multiplayer. Play the new "The Exiled" mode or enjoy the game in the Sandbox mode.

UPDATE: The developers are going CIA on us;

@gamingonlinux Like the CIA we can not confirm nor deny a Linux version :)

Just wanted to post a comment to say I'm very impressed about how you manage to continuously stay on top of the Linux gaming news, Liam.
This site is rapidly becoming *the* site for Linux gaming enthusiasts.

For me it is *the* site already..come here almost on a daily basis to check out the latest developments on Linux gaming. So a big 'Thank You' from me as well, Liam! o/

To the game/topic: As a big friend of HOMM (IV) I'm eagerly waiting for a decent fantasy turn-based strategy game on Linux. Eador unfortunately keeps us waiting, but this one looks nice as well. Hope to see it on Linux rather soon than later!

agreed - good work on the site!

I removed Kotaku from my RSS feed when they posted another game of thrones spoiler as a news story headline.

not to mention the clickbait news flooding, and immature community there.

Keep up the excellent reporting!

Loved the first one and love the second one. Hopefully I don't need to boot into windows soon to play it.

Even if it weren't for this site, not reading Kotaku means keeping a healthy mind (and eyes) :D
