Paranautical Activity have been through their fair share of issues, but they have still managed to push out a new major content release for their FPS game that has native Linux support. It isn't without issues though as I will explain.
First I'm still sad they cancelled their previously confirmed plans for co-op play which is one of the reasons I picked it up myself. The game itself is still pretty good though.
They also had issue getting onto Steam due to Vave's weird policies, but hey they got there in the end through greenlight.
Current issues I noticed is for me the launcher for the game is trying to be godzilla and it doesn't seem to scale well with different resolutions on the menu. Both I reported, so hopefully they will be fixed.
The new 1.8 release is a big one too though, so it's not all bad news! It adds a ton of content like 2 new superweapons, 11 new items, 2 new OST tracks (the music is fantastic!), 3 new powerups, 3 new bosses, 2 new enemies, weapon sway and more. There aren't many games where you get to fight a flying turtle with two rocket launchers, so be sure to check it out if you haven't already.
Here's me failing at yet another game:

It's available on IndieGameStand, Desura & Steam.

I have the same Godzilla issue on Ubuntu 12.10 (@1080p), so I guess it's not a distro-specific problem. I wonder if it happens the same on Windows, though...

This game is horribly broken in linux. My hi-dpi mouse won't work well even at lowest sensitibity. I think it's the cause also to very laggy gameplay.

I needed to change the executable permissions of the main game binary before the game would launch on my Arch Linux setup, and now I am also stuck on the "Beta Configuration" window as it is way too large to fit on my screen and does not show any interface items. I have a 17' inch LCD monitor at 1280x1024 resolution.

I've had the game for a while now, and it *always* had the config window issue. However, at least 1.8 actually WORKS, which is a huge improvement over the version I got when I originally purchased it. That one was only good for heating up my computer.
To be fair, the config thing isn't their fault, Unity is the actual culprit. This is all "documented" on Desura, if you're inclined to dig through the comment history.

Haha, launcher does gozilla on me but I can now move it up. I'm updated to 1.8 (verified steam game cache) but I'm still experiencing the mouse moving up bug as I reported here http://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/screen-dot-lockcursor-under-linux-breaks-input-dot-getaxis hopefully it'll work properly. Hopefully they get Unity4.5 and I can test if they fixed it.

I am able to get past the window by pressing tab and enter numerous times, but even then the in-game menus are still too large for the screen, even when forced to a lower resolution or when the game is forced to be windowed.

Last time I checked it wasn't working on Linux Steam, it shows that the game is on Linux but they don't have an installer.

Hi again!
It has now an installer on Steam that is working. I am also facing the problem with resolution but using the tabulator and enter keys I could finally start the game. Once in the game the menus were working and the game itself works. I have some problems like I can not shoot and the mouse is always going up, no matter what I do.
BTW: Good OST (in the minute or so that I was playing it was good).
