ROCCAT our favourite peripheral maker has shown off something fun at E3 this year that aims to help PC gamers reclaim their Sofa. They call it the SOVA.
They have unveiled a rather odd looking keyboard with a mouse pad attached to it, it has USB ports on the side and a place to hook up your smartphone. Sounds like a fantastic device, but I imagine it will be expensive as all specialised hardware like this usually is. There isn't a word on the price yet, so keep your eyes peeled.
You can see the official website for it here.
What do you think to this? For me it's extremely useful as I will be having a tv mounted onto a wall, so this would enable me to use it quite easily.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: The wooden couch tableI really wonder what is so new about such a product ?
I build myself and my colleague a small wooden table (80x30 cm) with four metal feets (about 30 cm high) which enables us to play games with an ordinary mouse / keyboard on our HTPCs.
Depending on the material you choose this costs you around 20€. Pretty hard to beat IMO....
yes but where can we get a super precise wireless keyboards and mice?
there are not so many options in that area...

Quoting: Xpanderyes but where can we get a super precise wireless keyboards and mice?Yeah...well...without sounding too disrespectful....this is what I consider a luxury problem because...
there are not so many options in that area...
1) couch gamers will more likely be not the hardcore pro gamer which looks for maximum performance, sample rate and precision
2) I always found my wireless keyboard plus wireless mouse (as shown below) fast and precise enough for fast 3D gaming (e.g. Sauerbraten with DMSP, Xonotic DM or Red Eclipse).
3) Those with the will to get maximum performance can always choose an 6 m USB extension and play a usual wired precision gaming mouse plus keyboard. I use a wired gamepad with 6 m cable every now and then on my xbox with burnout revenge ^_^

This is not just a table. I have been using a keyboard and mouse on the sofa with steam for a few years now and I will be buying this. This is a mechanical keyboard as well as a wireless converter for your mouse with its own battery power. I am welcoming this with open arms. Just a wireless mechanical keyboard is something special.

I hope this will be less expensive than the COUCHMASTER®.

Could be useful for our HTPC, even though I have no interest in ever gaming on it. It really does depend on the price of the thing though.
