I don't often point out single games being crowdfunded, but Tormentum - Dark Sorrow looks so dark and awesome it has to be shown off.
The dreamlike atmosphere featured in the game was inspired by the works of a Polish painter, Zdzislaw Beksinski, and a recently deceased Swiss painter, H.R.Giger, among others. The game's final appearance was also greatly influenced by the worlds presented in such games as Demon's Souls and Dark Seed. From this mixture we created a world full of darkness and depression.
Unfortunately, bigger problems seem to arise. The flying ship lands in a big castle and the main hero is soon imprisoned in it. This is how this surreal story from the border of dream and reality begins...
Being inspired by Giger who created the stuff for the Aliens series of films/games is what captured my interest and it really shows with a train that looks like this:
That almost looks like it would fit right in the Alien films.
I would actually really love to play this, but sadly they use Adobe Air and why anyone still picks that when they want to go multi-platform is beyond me when there are so many better options.
What do you think guys? They need some funding on Indiegogo if you are interested.
You can vote for it on Steam's Greenlight right here too.

With able artist influenced by Beksinski and Giger, this game can't go wrong - and even if, it will be easily forgiven. But, and it's a big but - none of the tiers mention getting Linux version. They only say they have it in plans, but with the game based on Adobe Air I don't expect much. Vote on Greenlight? Yes! Support on Indiegogo? Not this time.

Hmh, definitely thinking on doing a pledge. I like adventures with puzzles.
But it seems to focus a lot on tablets, and I've seen so many bad ports that I'm not sure yet if it would be worth my while. But well, still some days to think about it.

Yes for the game, no for the Adobe AIR. Seriously, why using this crap again?
I better go see some Beksinski works...

@hardpenguin I'd guess because they do have existing work (like an engine) and the skillset on Air. Though, a lot of those who used Air in the past are starting to reconsider.
