VVVVVV: Make and Play Edition is a free version of the popular indie game that only includes player made levels and a level editor to get you started.

Never got the big thing with V myself as it seemed like your average platformer with nothing really unique about it.
QuoteLet’s start with what I consider the really important thing – inspired by things like Knytt Stories and DROD: Architect’s Edition, I’m releasing a special build of VVVVVV on Windows, Mac and Linux today. It’s called VVVVVV: Make and Play Edition, and it’s completely free. This version of the game only includes the player levels and the level editor – which means that, from now on, the tools to make and play VVVVVV player levels are completely free.

Oh please no Liam I can't let you say that ! VVVVVV was one of my 1st game on Linux and it's a masterpiece (I mean whatever the platform, this game is huge). The platform puzzles are so hard, it's so fast do die, retry, die, retry, die... Once you've played it, this game is really a drug :)
The level design is really intelligent and when I was playing I was always like "my god, those people are crazy, how did they even think to do something this hard". Some places you have to retry 50 times to get it right, each time improving your timing...
No really, this game's a fantastic one

While I am sure the game has value, your description of it just makes it sound like a journey into masochism.

Yeah, this game is great!
While not a big fan of platformers (I have yet to finish FEZ and SMB, for instance), I have finished this one, and occasionally return to it. The game mechanic is very original, the music is great, and the levels are well designed. Moreover, it's "open world" :P

Definitely going to download this tonight, VVVVVV was an awesome game. Despite the multiple deaths trying to get through some of the more deviously designed screens it never got frustrating, it really has that "just one more go..." appeal to it.
