A warning to remind you not to buy Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition on Steam until the Linux version is out, as a developer tweeted it will not be a Steamplay title due to their contract. Although a newer tweet sent to us seems it may change.
Steamplay is where you buy once and get access to all platforms on Steam, but it's entirely optional.
If you remember Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition is confirmed for Linux and should be worked on after the next major patch is released.
The problem right now is this tweet:

This is why contracts suck being stuck into crappy deals which could sting some people who supported you. I know for a fact this has already stung a few people who purchased it not knowing it wouldn't be a Steamplay title. While you should never assume anything things like this annoy me, as it's just a money grab by who their contract is with.
We always tell you not to buy anything until the Linux version is actually out, and this is yet another reason why you should wait.

Call of duty Mac edition...it cannot connect with Windows players online either, and online is the biggest part of those games.

I bought it back in October on the promise of Linux version "coming soon", so they can be sure I won't be buying it again, I'd rather wait for a GOG version in that case.

Honestly, the Enhanced edition games don't really add much other than a few badly written companions and new bugs. You guys are better off waiting for the wine bottled version of the BG2 from GoG since that version will at least support old mods.

This should be summarized for every game as "if you buy the game when the GNU/Linux version isn't yet released you aren't buying the GNU/Linux version". So simple... It hurts GNU/Linux sales numbers and it may shoot you back too like this time.

Well, I had bought CIV V for Windows, and, when the Linux version was released, I did have to buy it again. $16.99 for a native version with all the DLC was, to me, a steal.

I have mixed feelings on the issue... On the one hand, having people pay again for the Linux version creates more incentive for creating one at all and helps sale-numbers as people who switch over are counted against Linux sales. Also, considering that extra work was done, it IS morally worth extra money.
On the other hand they should at least give a significant discount for a purchase on a new platform, since while the native Linux client adds value, it adds value more on the level of a DLC than a full game.

Totally agree if you already have windows version then they should give should give discount on Linux version.

I actually think that it is fair to pay some money for the ported version even if you already own the game. What I think is not fair is to pay for the content I already own inly to get native binaries. So I really hope there will be a discount for the owners of Windows version.

CIV V has been the only game I've bought twice; every other game I had bought for Windows, when a Linux port came out, it was free to download. You know, the way Steam usually works. X-COM:EU appeared in my library, and I didn't have to pay for it again.

They had that bug for the first few hours with the expansions being disabled for some users, but they've solved it pretty quickly.
