You can now grab Space Pirates and Zombies DRM free from GOG.com as they build up their game collection.

It's a fantastic game, and while it has been available on other stores for a while if you wish to support GOG's movement into Linux then buy it from them now! I've personally played a fair bit of it and found it to be one of the most interesting indie games around.

Check out Space Pirates and Zombies on GOG.

About
At its core, Space Pirates and Zombies is an action based, skill oriented, top down space combat game. It’s similar to the ones we knew and loved in years past, but now using full physics simulation and modern graphics for those oh so pretty explosions. But as you dig deeper, SPAZ becomes much more.

Instead of flying a single ship, you are in charge of an ever growing and evolving fleet, unlocking the rich tactical elements of SPAZ, all accessed at the touch of a button. Issue orders, change ships, apply fleet AI settings, all on the fly. At any moment the battle can change, and the Tactics Panel gives you the tools to make the battle turn in your favor.

Ps. Remember Space Pirates and Zombies 2 will be heading to Linux. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Here's the problem GoG will have for some time to come: I already have every game I like in their Linux catalog.

SPAZ was on Linux from the beginning. Whatever wisdom lead GoG to not offer it for Linux from the beginning, now with me, they're in a worse position than a Mee-Too-Company.
As Chris from LAS put it: "Well, yes, meh, welcome to the party!".

I hope they are able to change that image somehow.

Truth be told, some of their games are Linux-compatible for the first time. And I'm not only talking about Wine-bottled ones like FlatOut: CLARC for instance is native and it had never been available on Linux before.

PS: I bought it. :P
