Company of Heroes 2 a well loved real time strategy game from Relic Entertainment and SEGA looks like it is heading to Linux thanks to information taking from the excellent SteamDB website.
An 80/100 "metascore" is pretty good isn't it folks? That generally means most people found it to be pretty good.
Steam reviews of it are as usual amusing, as a 400+ hour review of it gave it a "thumbs down". You have to be kidding me right? I wouldn't spend even 10-15 hours in a game I would give a thumbs down. Crazy people are crazy.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: Segata SanshiroA Sega game on Linux :O. Is it me or is that the first big Japanese publisher/developer on Linux? Either way, it's good news to see a game from a pretty big franchise like this get ported.
QuoteAlso, seems like the Empire: Total War is coming tooOK, two Sega titles then. Big ones :)
Empire is coming over? Hehe LOOOVING Feral Interactive =D
A Total War game and Company of Heroes, thats about a couple of months worth of my time with AAA gaming on my linux. Happy dance! xD

Wow did you guys notice that this game has 10% thumbs up and 90% thumbs down. Reading one of the posts mentions it has lots of bugs and under / overpowered units in multiplayer. Too bad.

If coh2 is coming to linux, I can finally get rid of my Windows partition. :)

That one I'd love. Was looking for a long time for a real time strategy game to be played on Linux.

Hehe - the difference between user rating and critics rating on this game is just ridiulous and works as the perfect example of what I try to say regarding the reliability on user reviews: 82 critics gave it an average of 80/100 while the user rating is 1.9/10 from 5807 users. Look for yourself by following the link in the article. It comes to a point when one must ask, why bother collecting user ratings at all?
This really is the perfect example of how the average user simply are completely unable to nuance their ratings: They either love something, thus giving it top score and totally overlook anything negative, or if they find something negative they totally hate it and throw a one star at it. There's just no middle ground in the mindset of the average user.
Without having played this game I am sure it's the critics rating that gives the correct picture in this case (as in my experience most often is the case) in that this is very likely a solid game, but not without flaws and minor (with emphasis on "minor" ) issues. The devs probably tries something new with this game with mixed results, but overall an enjoyable game if the drawbacks of this game sounds bearable for you (ergo, read the reviews before deciding on purchase).
Another metascore site, one that saves you all from user ratings, is www.gamerankings.com. Also I like their interface better, probably cause it's focused on game rankings only.

Quoting: GreyArienEmpire is coming over? Hehe LOOOVING Feral Interactive =DAmen to that, bro'!
There simply is nothing to not love about Feral. Even the community guy over at their Facebook page is totally awesome with his replies.
And after the *excellent* port of Xcom, anything from Feral is an instabuy for me.

I played the first part of this game and is great. I suppose that the second are equal or best than the first. If this game is ported to linux is very probable that I buy it.

I would have preferred a port of the first part (since it seems to be more popular), but good news nonetheless.
