Some fantastic news today folks as Reinhard Pollice from Nordic Games has let it slip that Darksiders 2 will join Darksiders in gaining a Linux version!
QuoteLast year we explored who Nordic Games was following its $4.9 million acquisition of THQ assets during the company's liquidation auction; this year we wanted to know where it was going with all that loot. Regarding former THQ properties, the company is currently producing Darksiders for Linux and Mac, with plans to release Darksiders 2 on the platforms in the future.

While it doesn't include a direct quote about Darksiders 2 in the above sourced article it is backed up by the developer porting Darksiders who tweeted it out:
Ooops, @ElMegalomator let it slip. ;) @darksiders 2 will come to #Linux, too! http://t.co/w9b3EGK8d8

About Darksiders 2
Awakened by the End of Days, Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, embarks upon a quest to restore mankind, and redeem his brother’s name. Along the way, the Horseman discovers that there are far worse things than an earthly Apocalypse, and that an ancient grudge may threaten all of Creation . . .
What do you make to this news? Looks like Nordic really do love Linux!
Also when asking when Darksiders will come to Linux the developer replied with:
@gamingonlinux Can't talk specific dates, but really, really soon!

Get your wallets ready Linux gamers.
Quoting: GuestI’d prefer if Leszek Godlewski was working on improving loading times for Deadfall Adventures. But of course they’ve already got my money for that game…
Oh please... Leszek is anymore not working at The Farm 51... He leave from Poland devs studio and went to Nordic Games.
BTW. Deadfall Adventures and Painkiller H&D for Linux use UE3 engine. This unfortunately has problems UE3, which can not be easily fixed for linux.
Especially in the proprietary drivers - load times take a long time.
The only hope in the EU4. But it's not the fault of the developer - Leszek.
"I can't talk specific dates, but it's literally days until Darksiders 1 Linux hits Steam. Please bear with me just a little longer!"
Up, its close!
darksiders is not really my type of game however..but good to see it anyhow
Quoting: n30p1r4t32 + 1 = 3. Darksiders 3 Confirmed!
i know this was HL3 joke, but DS3 was already confirmed with them stating something like "We'd like to familiarize with franchise before continuing it" and one would say ports were just that

Never "confirmed," just turning more and more likely. The former Vigil devs (the core team at least) left Crytek USA (after issues) to form their own studio and have gotten in contact with Nordic about DS3, but the devs are hesitant to rush into a new project right away.
Quoting: FutureSutureMore good news for Linux gaming! I like that the whole series is coming over and not just the most recent game. That's dedication! Money will be spent! Will it just be Steam or will it come to GOG as well?
I'll just second this post then, although with a heavier emphasis on GoG or equivalent, because otherwise my money will not be spent unfortunately.
Still, good work on Leszek's and Nordic's part, as I do like the precedent that is being sent by porting the whole series.
The first game is phenomenal. Up there with God of War, but surpassing that game in terms of combat, if not production value. Even there, it has incredible quality.
It's a console port, remember, and should be played as such - with a controller. If you do, I'm pretty certain you'll enjoy it. One of my favourite games of all time - certainly an easy Top Twenty contender and maybe even in the Top Ten.
