It looks like Football Manager 2014 on Linux was success enough for the next game safely titled Football Manager 2015 to also be on Linux.

I'm not a football fan at all, but I know plenty of football fanatics who play FM14, so if they ever wanted to look to Linux then it makes it easier for them.

FM 2015 will be release in November 2014 and promises the most realistic football manager simulator to date.

You can pre-purchase Football Manager 2015 on Steam now.

Official About
Football Manager 2015, the latest in the award-winning and record-breaking series, is coming to PC, Macintosh and Linux computers in November 2014.

Football Manager is the most realistic, in-depth and immersive simulation of football management available, putting you in the hot-seat of almost any club in more than 50 countries across the world, including all of Europe’s biggest leagues.

Football Manager 2015 will allow you to live the life of a real football manager – you decide who plays and who sits on the bench, you're in total control of tactics, team-talks, substitutions and pitch-side instructions as you follow the match live with the acclaimed 3D match engine.

A whole host of new features will be announced from October 2014 onwards – keep an eye on www.footballmanager.com for updates.

Pre-order Football Manager 2015 now to enjoy access to a fully-playable ‘Beta’ version of the game roughly two weeks prior to the official release date. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'd rather see SEGA bring over some of their Sonic games to Linux.

I didn't even see FM 2014 for Linux - is this due to me living in Germany, or wasn't it available on Steam?

That's pretty cool, would be nice to see sega release more games for Linux to see more penguins on boxes. Still not enough for me to get it though, I detest football. Super Monkey Ball 3 on Linux though - that I would buy (if they ever make it).

I prefer a football game like pro evolution soccer than this.

Bought a retail copy of FM 14 solely because of that. Haven´t bought a retail PC game in ages before that.

I really like their support for Linux, unfortunately the game is a bit too hard for me, which makes it quite boring to play.

So I take it FM14 did well on Linux? That should be a good sign as to further Linux support from Sega then.
