There's been a lot of new releases recently with no signs of slowing down, so what have you been investing your time in recently?

Personally I've spent more time than I thought I would have in Civilization V. It hooked me in a little more than I thought it would...just one more turn!

I've also just picked up the XCOM expansion in the sale, and look forward to seeing how poorly my soldiers have trained with their shocking aim some more.

Sadly I would like to invest some more time in Planetary Annihilation smashing moons into a base someone spent an hour building, but wow it's so utterly broken right now it's not worth repeatedly closing it and launching it again to see if the UI decides to show up in-game. I hope they fix this soon. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Installed Play on Linux and to my surprise stuff actually runs.

Tried CS:GO, fps is pretty low and there are some stuttering issues, playable but wouldn't risk with competitive. Then Scrolls, runs great, couldn't find a single fault and the game indeed got better since the last time I've played it. Tried Path of Exile as well but it somewhat broken everything since some direct3d stuff was missing which required relog so will have to try that again at some point.

Other than that got 140 from the recent humble bundle which is great except later on checkpoints disappear and it becomes really punishing. Got Luftrausers from GetGames deal, the game runs great on linux and is pretty awesome to play in some short burst, lack of decent option menu though so it's a bit of a hassle to set up.

And of course dota2, but I'm starting to lose interest again.

The Witcher 2. Since the last updates, it is by far my favorite game.
When I want to relax, Bit.Trip Runner 2. :)
A little of Portal too.

I am stuck in Mount and Blade, 107 hours already and counting....

My next game will be the Witcher 2, since the patch, it runs quite well actually. On ultra settings.

Lots of Football Manager 2014, a bit of Wasteland 2, a surprising amount of Victory At Sea this week and always Civ 5.

Also been spending a fair bit of time monitoring forums, twitter, etc for any bits of info on the linux versions of Civ: Beyond Earth, and to a much lesser extent Clockwork Empires and the Borderlands 2 prequel. And still looking for any decent, *native* linux MMOG - but not holding my breath.

Don't Starve! Until a friend challenged me, I didn't play it. But then... this game is crazy. It's mean, it steals too much time. Klei Quality!

PS: Klei will release "Don't starve Together", a long desired multiplayer mod by the community, though Klei only wanted to make Single Player games. The Multiplayer Mod will be free for owners of Dont Starve, but the price of the game will increase to 19,99 € (now 14,99).

I've played the Gunpoint Beta, that was fantastic (save for lack of music) :) I've also been putting a lot of hours into Towerfall; it gets very addictive with friends. And a little Sanctum 2 (though I need someone to play with ;) ) and Shadow Warrior.

Broken Sword 3 under wine, because it's about time I get caught up and play Broken Sword 5 (which is native, with one of the main devs developing on Linux! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/revolutionsoftware/broken-sword-the-serpents-curse-adventure/posts/307066 )

Quoting: FergleFerglesonAnd still looking for any decent, *native* linux MMOG - but not holding my breath.

Not sure what your requirements are for "decent", but I'm keeping a close eye on (and backing, for that matter) an Indie MMORPG coming out next year called Stash: No Loot Left Behind

  • turn-based RPG party combat

  • IMM-like/DM-like participation by the devs to host world events, with player participation having real influence on story-lines

  • deep world lore developed over 18 years of their MUD

  • Ultima-Online-inspired MMO community features like crafting and player housing

Stash also doesn't feature:

  • bind on pickup

  • question marks / exclamation points to find quests

  • Groundhog-day world, e.g. big bad bosses that respawn while you're still celebrating victory over them

However as an Indie game, it also doesn't feature AAA-priced graphics, though they do have some charm in my opinion
