SteamLUG August Linux Gaming Events

By -
Hey people!

The Steam Linux User Group (SteamLUG.org) has its August events lineup available for anybody who'd like to meet and play with other Linux gamers!

Event times are in UTC (click on an event for local time via Steamcommunity.com) and happen at 20:00 (8PM). Events marked with an asterisk (*) follow a live SteamLUG Cast recording, and are likely to start late when we go over time.

We'll also be continuing with our during-the-week Guns of Icarus practice sessions at 2:00am UTC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. More details can be found in this thread.

All of our events aim to be accessible to newcomers and give experienced gamers a chance to play socially.

For the opening of our Portal 2 Mapping Challenge event, we'll be joined by Portal modder and mapper Mevious (he'll be returning to join us next month for SteamLUG Cast when we look over the community's creations)!

Also of interest is Season 2, Episode 16 of SteamLUG Cast, for which we'll be joined by JP LeBreton of Double Fine, who is currently project lead on Spacebase DF-9 and was lead designer on The Cave.

For anybody who missed it, the archive of S02E15 from last month featuring Edwin Smith of Feral Interactive is up for listening as well.

Hope to play with you soon! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

P.S. Apologies to anybody who was keen on Steel Storm or Mount & Blade for the delay in getting this post up!

Any chance of getting the events list pinned on the menu bar for easy access?

That's a good question! Do you mean as an editor's pick or as some kind of persistent thing separate to those?
