Wine development team was able to produce a new experimental release today. 1.7.24 bringing many new features and as many as 44 bugfixes.

A new issue of World Wine News was not available this time.

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:
  • Beginning of some DirectWrite classes implementation.
  • Initial wrapper dll for the packet capture library.
  • Some crypto improvements.
  • Various bug fixes.

In this wine version steam still working, performance seems equal to 1.7.23 with same 343.13 drivers (punkbuster give more problems in this wine version in this test, maybe more later test other games with punkbuster)
