It looks like Sparpweed is bringing us a shamelessly cute title, ibb & obb, a challenging cooperative platformer. However, before the penguin masses can get there hands on it the developer is looking for testers. Those interested can fill out this form. Please only apply if you actually intend on helping Sparpweed find bugs before release!

(A big thanks to Richard of Sparpweed for the information!)

From what I've seen so far I think this game is right up my alley. ibb & obb takes place in a strange and beautiful world; it may just be my past experience playing with Flash, but I really enjoy the vector look (and maybe that will please some of you who are tired of pixel art!). You may not call it a high-fidelity environment, but I love the bold contrasting colors. In terms of gameplay, there are some really interesting gravity mechanics, a little reminiscent of VVVVVV's inverted gravity mechanic.

Official About
ibb & obb is a two player cooperative game set in a puzzle filled world where gravity goes both up and down. You can only succeed by working closely together.

Find a friend for some true local co-op couch fun or match up online.

Fall up and jump down through 15 levels filled with double gravity puzzles and discover 8 hidden worlds that will test your new non-Newtonian skills to the maximum.

All levels have their own unique music, composed by Kettel, known for his warm melodic electronica.

No release date yet, but when it drops you can find it on Steam

Oh, yes! I've been waiting for this one (though I thought the developer was going to post in the Linux request thread on the Steam forums when they made a version available for testing).

I'd apply too but I just don't have enough spare time to do the job justice.

After submitting their form it mentions that they've accepted enough testers for the moment.
September 29th :)
