The Interstellar Marines developers have been very busy and this new update is bloody huge. It includes the first co-op level and it's quite big.
It adds "The NeuroGen Incident" which is the first ever co-op experience for the game, but it's not limited to that. It also includes their first pass at a revival system for downed marines as well like many other co-op games have.
They have also added in a VOIP system to chat to your friends while playing co-op which is immensely useful.
There's also this:
It's great to see developers actually work on the Linux side of things too.
I've tested it and the performance in this build seems to be a fair bit better than the first Linux build, so it actually feels a lot smoother to play which is very important. Nothing worse than a sluggish FPS game.

Sounds like some more of you need to check it out if you haven't already.

I was considering picking this up on sale, but after seeing some of the single player I think I'll sit tight; the AI certainly needs some work. How's the multiplayer?

I bought the game a few weeks back. I couldn't use my mouse without a few hacks, then. Now this works like a charm. Couldn't play much MP so far, because their are not many people playing in my timezone, but the atmosphere in this game is great. The change of lighting and stuff makes the maps and the game itself really unique (and I've played quite a lot of shooters ;)).
I didn't try out the bots. Well, I did. On the first evening, when the mouse input didn't work, there were some bots, but I couldn't fight, so no review here. Later I couldn't find the mode for AI/bot fights, so I just played a few rounds online.
The game is really good, I think. It has much potential and I hope they use it. Could be my new "Natural Selection 2"... without aliens of course :D

It does seem to have some potential. Is there a planed campaign? or is this meant to be MP only?
