There's a lot to look forward to this year, so here's a quick reminder so that you don't get swallowed up!

This is by no means an exhaustive list (it's just a fraction), that's what the comments are for to tell us what you're looking forward to if we didn't include it, and to tell us how horrible we are for not putting it in.

7 Days To Die
Age Of Wonders III
Borderlands 2
Borderlands: The Pre-sequel
Civilization: Beyond Earth
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Clockwork Empires - First build for Linux is due next month.
Company of Heroes 2
Counter Strike Global Offensive - Showing more signs of it being this year due to their recent blog post!
Darksiders
Darksiders 2 - We don't have word that it will be this year, but it's possible.
Dead Island
Empire: Total War
Football Manager 2015
Half Life 3/troll
Killing Floor 2 - Not confirmed, but hopeful for this year
Metro 2033 Redux
Metro: Last Light Redux
Outlast - Probably one of the scariest games ever made, but it's not confirmed it will be this year yet, but it's likely.
Risk Of Rain - On the 30th July they said it was coming along well.
Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut - 18th September
Super Win The Game
Stronghold 3 Gold - If you can put up with the crappy pathfinding & AI.
Terraria - Just recently confirmed officially as in-development for Linux/Mac.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Transistor
Tropico 5 - 19th September!
War Thunder
Wasteland 2 - 19th September!

That's one hell of a list not counting plenty of others. My wallet has sprouted legs and is off cowering in a dark corner right now. I feel so terribly sorry for my wallet.

Could this be the best year ever for Linux gaming? Stupid question, of course it is! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I was totally going to say "Half-Life 3" but Liam was ready for that :P
A game that I am personally waiting that is not on the list is Plague Inc.... I used to play it on my Android and had tons of fun with it! ^_^

I've purchased 75GB worth of Linux games in the past couple of months.
REALLY looking forward to CS:GO
I still feel Linux needs a native big name MMO....if there are any out there already I don't know of please let me know.

You can add Shadowrun: Dragonfall (standalone edition) that comes out on september 18th (free for people that already own it as a DLC for Shadowrun Returns).

Any info on Legend of Grimrock 2? The game will be out on october 15 but for Windows only, it seems. I don't know if it's been confirmed for Linux.

Currently I am really looking forward to Super Win The Game but I also preordered The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Before those I really need to play the Shadowrun DLC. Not sure about Wasteland 2... backed it on Kickstarter and played about an hour of the beta but it did not really grow on me. Well, maybe Shovel Knight will finally see a release and needs to be played as well. Oh, and let's not forget about BL2 and Darksiders, which I both played on the PS3 but will probably revisit this way :)

Now imagine how dripping with sarcasm such a statement would be a few years ago, coming from a Linux user.

Maia is now releasing Linux builds - not sure what the final release date is looking like.

Pillars of Eternity is also in beta and promising Linux builds RSN. Not to mention "Shroud of the Avator", "Torment: Tides of Numenera" and various other games in various stages of production.

What happened to Torchlight 2, is it still coming?
Ivancillo 17 Sep 2014
And what happened to Two Worlds 2?
vulture 17 Sep 2014
i'm more interested in what happened with Topware and their "pushing 30 titles". even Raven's cry is not specifying linux version on steam, even though official site clearly says it should.

I'll probably pick up stronghold 3 regardless of the reviews because I haven't been able to play any good RTS' since I gave up windows completely years ago.

Also, here's hoping that the next stronghold will be on Linux...
