There's a lot to look forward to this year, so here's a quick reminder so that you don't get swallowed up!

This is by no means an exhaustive list (it's just a fraction), that's what the comments are for to tell us what you're looking forward to if we didn't include it, and to tell us how horrible we are for not putting it in.

7 Days To Die
Age Of Wonders III
Borderlands 2
Borderlands: The Pre-sequel
Civilization: Beyond Earth
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
Clockwork Empires - First build for Linux is due next month.
Company of Heroes 2
Counter Strike Global Offensive - Showing more signs of it being this year due to their recent blog post!
Darksiders
Darksiders 2 - We don't have word that it will be this year, but it's possible.
Dead Island
Empire: Total War
Football Manager 2015
Half Life 3/troll
Killing Floor 2 - Not confirmed, but hopeful for this year
Metro 2033 Redux
Metro: Last Light Redux
Outlast - Probably one of the scariest games ever made, but it's not confirmed it will be this year yet, but it's likely.
Risk Of Rain - On the 30th July they said it was coming along well.
Shadowrun: Dragonfall - Director's Cut - 18th September
Super Win The Game
Stronghold 3 Gold - If you can put up with the crappy pathfinding & AI.
Terraria - Just recently confirmed officially as in-development for Linux/Mac.
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Transistor
Tropico 5 - 19th September!
War Thunder
Wasteland 2 - 19th September!

That's one hell of a list not counting plenty of others. My wallet has sprouted legs and is off cowering in a dark corner right now. I feel so terribly sorry for my wallet.

Could this be the best year ever for Linux gaming? Stupid question, of course it is! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Some nice games there. I've backed Wasteland 2 up and am really looking forward to finally try the game out.

Shadowrun I already own and really appreciate that the current version will be updated to the directors cut for free. I'm currently really enjoying Shadowrun Returns.

Concerning Grimrock II, the developers have already announced that they will release the game for Windows first and think about releasing it for other platforms later. Source:

I'll hold off and wait till they release a Linux version of Grimrock II.

I'll probably pick up stronghold 3 regardless of the reviews because I haven't been able to play any good RTS' since I gave up windows completely years ago.

Also, here's hoping that the next stronghold will be on Linux...

As good RTS for Linux (but hardcore) you have the Wargame series, from Eugen Systems.

Waiting for Project Cars :)

All these games coming before 2015? Wow!
Lots of gameplay ahead for us!

What about Pillars of Eternity?
I don't think Pillars of Eternity will release before the end of the year. It was planned for November but after testing the beta I don't want it to be release this soon. Also, they said that a Linux client for the beta version would be available in a few weeks a month ago and there isn't any news about it since then.

Pillars and Torment will not arrive before January, and...oh, well. If they aren't yet ready, then they're not yet ready. I do have a few games to bide my time with while waiting...The names of games being mentioned are certainly enticing enough, and it looks as though I'll be able to get choosy about which AAA games I want to buy.

And that's a Good Thing.

I've purchased 75GB worth of Linux games in the past couple of months.
REALLY looking forward to CS:GO
I still feel Linux needs a native big name MMO....if there are any out there already I don't know of please let me know.

good luck so far the only mmo's i have found are ever crap or from ages ago, the only mmos i know are eventually coming to linux are star citizen (by the same bloke that did starlancer, freelancer, wingcommander etc), maybe wildstar, maybe archage, there was another one that hasn't released yet i can't remember it's name but it's a space sim where your the captain of a ship. there is warhammer 40k the eternal crusade that's supposed to be an mmo coming to linux, war thunder is supposedly coming.

for me I'm looking forward to icewind dale and buldur's gate enhanced editions, I am also hoping more games like skyrim and dues ex:human revolution or the fable series. (basically all my steam library lol before i switched to linux)

Don't think I've even heard rumors about Wildstar or Archeage coming to linux... have a source on those?

I'm really looking forward to Warhammer 40k eternal crusade. But I think that's not expected out until sometime 2015.

There is also an Indie MMO coming called Shroud of the Avatar which I'm waiting to see if it will live up to the hype. Even though it's Indie it has a pretty big budget with having raised nearly $5 million in crowd funding. So the budgets all there and all that's left to see is whether or not the devs ruined it with incompetence or not. But again, also not expected for release until 2015 I think.

Like someone mentioned earlier Project Cars is announced for this fall.

"Project CARS will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam OS, PC, and Wii U starting Fall 2014."

We could really use an easily accessible list of upcoming linux games somewhere on the website. Preferably with a source of the confirmation. This post will get buried soon anyway.

And it's getting hard to keep a track of them, and I want them all :D
