Backers of Shovel Knight or gamers interested it in that didn't back it on Kickstarter will be happy to know that Shovel Knight will release the Linux version "soon".
They have just released the Mac version, and in the announcement was this:
Linux & Mac versions were a stretch goal at the $130,000 (against a base $75K goal), so it's great to see something that was a stretch goal start to deliver.
It has a stellar 85/100 metacritic score, and the Steam reviews seem favourable, so we can't wait to see how it plays!

I was expecting simultaneous release on all platforms, but if it's "really soon", fine. It would be nice to have Linux version by Christmas.
