The Wine Development Release 1.7.27 Is Now Available.

Wine development team was able to produce a new experimental release today. 1.7.27 bringing many new features and as many as 22 bugfixes.

A new issue of World Wine News is also available: #375

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:
  • Some more work on Direct2D support.
  • Various improvements to RichEdit interfaces.
  • Initial support for ICMP version 6.
  • Various bug fixes.

Well, every time something serious appears in this field its development suddenly slows at one point or another...

kdenlive changed maintainer, and PiTiVi (which the most promising to me) still hasn't reached its funding campaign goal... (http://fundraiser.pitivi.org/)

In the mean time, you can use the proprietary Lightworks which is Linux native...

Saint Row the third still continues with character rendering problems but appears a bit better compared to wine 1.7.26 with same nvidia 343.22 drivers
