The Last Dogma is a dark comedy adventure set in the year 1999 of an alternate reality world, where US actively campaigns for world domination, UK is ruled by the dictator from Iran and Yugoslavia is being invaded by several countries.

You play as Sebastian Arise, an ATF special agent tasked with the tracking and eradication of local firearms dealers. One day straightforward tracking mission turns into disaster, thrusting him into the village of cannibalistic Christian cult known as “Holy Intentions”. Entwined in a web of intrigues between emotion-feeding daemons, Sebastian must keep his senses sharp as he travels back in 1366 A.D. to stop the things he shouldn't stop.

Its Linux version has minor exclusive additional content in a form of several voiced lines and Tux appearance.

It was thoroughly tested by 'booman' a moderator of the website 'GamersOnLinux' (not to confused with GamingOnLinux) and works fine. It will be available only on Steam (for SteamOS). Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Exclusive content for Linux? I don't care how minor they are, I'm supporting this. //running around like a headless chicken

Now, back to normality... it actually looks interesting for me. I'll look it up definitely. :)

Looks nice! Have voted on it on greenlight, hopefully it will be available soon.

Exclusively for SteamOS is a bit confusing.. AFAIK every game on Steam has to have a Windows version and SteamOS without Linux support wouldn't make sense. So there is only this said minor difference.

+1
I got a shock reading the headline, I thought it would come only for SteamOS, not for other Linuxes (however they would have managed to do this).

Their Greenlight page says

Linux Version:
Linux version does exist and has minor exclusive additional content (several voiced lines), it was thoroughly tested by moderator of GamersOnLinux and works fine. It will be available only on Steam (for SteamOS).

So I would take this with a bit of a salt. Considering it's specifically just a few voiced lines and this is a comedy game, it will most likely poke a bit of a fun at the player for running Linux or something.

The developer is using the Unity 3D engine. He has ported the beta to Linux before and I've tested it for him.
Ran just fine on my GeForce 550 Ti

So if it runs on SteamOS, it should run in any Distro with Steam.

I have a feeling "exclusive" means the Linux version won't be released anywhere else (GOG, Desura, etc.)

All that page is saying is that the Linux version will only be available from steam.
It is on windows aswell. The version for sale now on indiegamestand is windows only.

You're terribly wrong, it doesn't make fun of player for running Linux. Quite the contrary, one of game events shows a sparking BSODed PC and game character makes a comment that it's not a good idea to run a server on Windows.

So if it runs on SteamOS, it should run in any Distro with Steam.
Yes, SteamOS is just a name. But not all people realize that Linux systems and SteamOS are the same thing.

How is that "alternate"?
