Just a quick notice to let people know we are currently streaming Borderlands 2 to celebrate the Linux release!

Find us here: http://www.twitch.tv/gamingonlinux, or watch below!

Watch live video from GamingOnLinux on www.twitch.tv

It is currently myself, our caster Samsai and community member/javascript guru Half-Shot.

Update: For those who missed the livestream, here are the VODs of the event. The quality isn't perfect but hopefully you can see some gameplay among all the blur and pixels. At the very least the audio is still there.

Very convenient for me. I needed something to do today while my code runs. :D

This was a really good idea

Cool!

I played through the first fight with the boolymongers or whatever the hell those snow beasts are called. Performance was AMAZINGLY good. Not to rag on Witcher2 but Borderlands 2 was ported RIGHT. Full HD with most settings on high (some were not on high because I was being conservative). And since I got all the DLC, I am finally getting to play as a psycho, too!

Stream is now finished, we did ~3 hours without any crashes which was fantastic.

The only issue is audio desyncs as OBS Studio isn't quite up to scratch with pulseaudio yet.

As always join us in IRC on #gamingonlinux on freenode or use our webchat:

Damn, wish I hadn't missed it but gotta work to pay the bills and buy gaming equipment ;) I would have jumped in if I could have. Though my main character is a level 51 and the other two are above 30 IIRC.. so it probably would not have been balanced too well.

Too bad I missed this. :-( Next time you guys do an event would it be possible to get notified in advance?

I haven't had any crashes or incidents with the game yet either. It runs exceptionally well, even on older hardware. :-)

Quoting: GuestI had to disable vsync to get good framerates on my Core i3 / GTX 660 (I’m also using Compton with vsync enabled, which might interfere, but it’s not causing any trouble with other games).
AMD X3 460 and Geforce 650 Ti, all max.
I have elementary os luna... maybe it's the cause of your trouble ?
