Win A Copy Of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

By -

Surprise! Hello everyone it's been a while since I wrote anything here, so how about a chance to win some Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel keys?

The keys are Steam-only of course, and we have five keys to give-away to lucky Linux gamers that fancy their chances. These keys should be pre-order keys as well, so they should come with the Shock Drop DLC, but apologies in advanced if there is a mix-up and they turn out to be normal keys.

Shutup already, how do I win?
Simple, you need to reply to this article telling us how much you love GamingOnLinux & Aspyr Media.

Four keys can be won this way, but the last key will be given away by Samsai in tomorrow's Live Stream, so look out for that too! Be sure to follow us on Twitch and look out around 5PM UTC tomorrow for the extra key in the Stream from Samsai.

I will pick the winners around Monday/Tuesday evening UTC.

Personal note: This doesn't mean I am returning to write yet that has not been decided by myself. A key give-away is a good starting point though I am sure you will agree! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Ok, I only have to say that two of my favorite games are Aspyr ports (Civilization V and Borderlands 2). I'm waiting more quality ports developed by Aspyr anxious. Please, develop Neverwinter Nights and Bioshock saga.

About GamingOnLinux, I only have to say that I visit it 3 or 4 times per day; and I follow it in facebook.

This is the one gaming site that I visit several times a day. No site does a better job of keeping up with the day-to-day happenings in Linux gaming, as well as covering breaking news on upcoming releases.

As far as Aspyr Media, I was kind of shocked by how well the port of Borderlands 2 runs on my HTPC running mythbuntu. They're already the Greatest Mac Publisher on Earth, Ever, and it appears they are making a significant run towards claiming the title for Linux, as well.

Thanks Aspyr for bringing Borderlands 2 on Linux! I can now play this game on my office rig :D

As for gamingonlinux, it's a great website, clean & informative.

Aaah, a decent explanation is in order as this is more a topic of "why" than "how much".

Why I love GamingOnLinux?
I started following this site around half a year ago, at the time I was pushing myself towards flipping the table on Windows completely and going all-balls-out on Linux. As I switched over I found myself spending more and more time on reading articles about native ports and games, and as this site seemed to be most legit with very up-to-date information, I started visiting it a couple of times a day. Really, when it comes to getting good info on Linux games, GamingOnLinux is the place to be.
As I'm playing games under Linux as well, I thought that I'd give the community a shot as well, so I registered and started commenting on some of the articles. What truly amazed me at that point, was the community itself - frequent commentators and even the people who are writing the articles are so friendly. Even during the livestreams one can really connect with the staff of this great site and actually get a conversation going - it's simply amazing in my eyes and makes you feel as part of a community. (though it might be due to smaller livestream audience currently but the point remains the same - you guys are Awesome!)

Now, regarding Aspyr?
I have great respect against Aspyr as they put up excellent ports of Borderlands series. I would only wish that they would keep it up and start releasing their ports which have been already done for MAC on Linux as well. OpenGL is the same and they both come from the Unix family so it shouldn't be that hard... but it still takes resources. Anyways, thumbs up for them as they have my wallet's support, however there's not much else I could tell about them.

Key or no key, I know that someone will read this and know how awesome this community really is.:P
