Win A Copy Of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

By -
tagline-image
Surprise! Hello everyone it's been a while since I wrote anything here, so how about a chance to win some Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel keys?

The keys are Steam-only of course, and we have five keys to give-away to lucky Linux gamers that fancy their chances. These keys should be pre-order keys as well, so they should come with the Shock Drop DLC, but apologies in advanced if there is a mix-up and they turn out to be normal keys.

Shutup already, how do I win?
Simple, you need to reply to this article telling us how much you love GamingOnLinux & Aspyr Media.

Four keys can be won this way, but the last key will be given away by Samsai in tomorrow's Live Stream, so look out for that too! Be sure to follow us on Twitch and look out around 5PM UTC tomorrow for the extra key in the Stream from Samsai.

I will pick the winners around Monday/Tuesday evening UTC.

Personal note: This doesn't mean I am returning to write yet that has not been decided by myself. A key give-away is a good starting point though I am sure you will agree! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

GamingOnLinux is like my little brother, he tells me awesome histories about games, news and reviews :P

Aspyr Media is like my big brother, he shares with me a lot of amazing adventures through the surprising environments of the living planet of Pandora :D

I love my two brothers, and I want to win a copy of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to remind them for the rest of my life. :3

Who's this Laim? I sense an imposter.

As a *nix user in general (I game on both, GNU/Linux and Mac OS X), I can't thank Aspyr enough.
They brought some great AAA games to the table and their ports have always been rather top notch.

I also love the fact that they work closely with the publishers, allowing the Linux/Mac releases to be released through the same channels (Owning the game on Steam is rather important to me) the Windows originals are released through.

Kudos, you guys! Thanks for the ports, may there be many more.

For some years I searched for a good website for linux games. When I reach this one I couldn't believe how many games there are and how active the developers are for linux gameing.
For aspyr, I can't say very much. I have civilization V since the first year. I was hopeing that some day someone port some civ games to linux. Hopefully aspyr appeared and created one of the best ports ever made (The only complain is the modding that is disabled and doesn't install the mods automatically).
Beside that it's a perfect port, and I will buy the next civilization game that they are porting.
I don't have borderlands, but I tried it and plays really well. I don't know how do they made, but they do magic with all they get. They achive thinks that bigger multi million companies cannot do or do bad.
Hopefully in a near future more companies learn from aspyr and we get more quality ports (or exclusives) to linux.
Hope we can do a match with borderlands soon. It's a nice game.

I love GOL as a great source of information and Aspyr for great ports. But most of all I love Liam :)

At the moment Aspyr seems to be the only major company (besides Valve, of course) really taking Linux gaming seriously. They're providing an amazing service porting these AAA games to a platform that always had a chicken & egg problem with games.

i play with the computer since I was a child, I still remember the first few games I did on Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, vista and then windows 7.
in my life I've played lots of games of all kinds.
since Valve has released Steam for Linux, I approached steam, I began to buy a game after another, now I have purchased over 100 games on steam, this only due to the fact that valve has given us the steam for us linux users.
Now i don't use Windows, except on rare occasions, because my biggest passion (PC gaming) now is also on my favorite operatinve system (Arch Linux), then the answer to your question is :
I love it so much gaming on linux, that since we have steam, I stopped cracking games and I've always bought all of the original Linux to support developers in achieving more for our porting OS.
furthermore, in addition to the 100 games on Steam, I also bought several games on GOG, i've also bought the same game twice, as a thank you to developers, to spend time and money for the conversion.
Aspyr Media, is a wonderful publisher, borderlands is a fantastic saga, furthermore unlike other software vendors has released a AAA game ad borderlands The Pre Sequel on at the same time of windows version, without delay, this is a very good behavior, then thanks a lot Aspyr.
thanks to Aspyr now we have on linux games as Borderlands 2 Borderlands 2 the pre sequel and civilization.

i love linux, i use it since 2007, but now with a lot of games is better

I love gol, best site to get updated and you dont care about windows.

And about Aspyr, just to say, not even in my best dreams I would have thought to play borderlands and civilization in my xubuntu. Just awesome.

What should i say. GamingOnLinux: great source of information about linux gaming. Without GamingOnLinux, i would have missed out some pretty cool games. Linux is awesome! There should be more games for it. Aspyr helps a lot with that.

I love both of them as much as i love penguins.
(I adore them!)

What I like most about Aspyr is that they're not just porting cool games, but released the patch for Civ V which makes me hope for quality work also after release.

I've been following our website ever since Steam on Linux was out of beta. Check it every day, I absolutely love the work this site has done, reaching out to developers and getting statistics on Linux as a gaming platform. Been using Linux since 2008 exclusively, keep up the good work. Would love a copy of the game since I've been tight on money I can't blow 60 dollars on a game but if I had the money I would definitely have already bought this by now.

To add to that Aspyr Media has done a wonderful job with their communication and the quality of the ports they bring to Linux. I wish them all the best they truly are one of my favorite developers.

I love what you do, Aspyr!
Seriously, even if I still can't enjoy Borderlands 2 with a 7950 and Catalyst.

If that isn't true love, what is? <3

They say love makes you do crazy things... Things like writing poems:

Who enrages our bosses and spouses,
brings virtual glory into our houses?
Who took an OS, whose main interaction
was with scientists analyzing X-ray diffraction
and turned it, to our great satisfaction,
into a playground of oh so many distractions?

A webpage so perfect, it puts Google to shame,
Where I find my updates on new Linux games.
A noble publisher who quickly became,
A member of my personal hall of fame.

Who is it, that turned this man
into a poetry-writing fan?

GamingOnLinux! And the people from Aspyr!
Keep me gaming until my lifespan expires.
How do I best put this feeling in words?
Is it love?...

...I am now going to play Borderlands 2 on my freaking Linux PC so fuck yeah it is!

I love GOL because they show that they are people who care about Linux gaming. I also love aspyr media because they chose to take a risk a port some big names to Linux.
nitroflow Oct 30, 2014
I love GOL for all the all the up to date Linux gaming news you bring to us every day and Aspir Media for all the great quality ports they bring to Linux(doing it right instead of using crappy wrappers).
