Surprise! Hello everyone it's been a while since I wrote anything here, so how about a chance to win some Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel keys?
The keys are Steam-only of course, and we have five keys to give-away to lucky Linux gamers that fancy their chances. These keys should be pre-order keys as well, so they should come with the Shock Drop DLC, but apologies in advanced if there is a mix-up and they turn out to be normal keys.

I love Aspyr for their work for long time. I have even contacted this company long time ago, when Linux support wasn't planned at all!

Before I started reading GOL, I did not know what was going on in the world of Linux gaming. I knew that Linux had AAA titles, but the broad scale of games out there that I knew of was small compared to what I know now with GOL.
Aspyr has helped me see that games don't have to be retro to be great. Aspyr showed me that there are lots of games made for Mac too! I always thought Mac users had a very small games library. Aspyr helped me see I was wrong in a lot of things related to gaming.

GamingOnLinux is a great resource. The news articles aren't speculative rubbish, are usually quite informative, and the community seems to have a really good attitude, setting itself apart from other sites out there for certain. As for Aspyr Media, I can't honestly say I know much about them other than their work porting over games like Borderlands 2 and Civ 5 among others. I have both and think they're brilliant work, really.
I've thought about grabbing the Pre-Sequel a bit, but the Australia Tax is a tad high. Ironic, given that 2K Aus are mostly responsible for it.

Gamingonlinux appeared in my life... a year ago, I think? And it has quickly become a site I try to check at least once a day. Luckily I checked twice today and saw this article. :P
It's really great to know that there is a community of people here who are all as passionate about linux gaming as I am, some of whom will go out of their way to talk to developers about porting their games and help to show that there truly is a growing audience of people who would love to play their games on linux machines. Sites like this are important, and I think GOL will only grow in importance in the coming years.
Aspyr is a group that I'm really growing to love. I'm so excited about the recent big name titles they've helped to bring to our OS, and I would honestly consider buying a port from them for a game I otherwise would not have played at all, just to continue to show my support in the future. Or, you know, they could just keep porting games I love and there will be no hesitation at all. :P
One of the only things I'd have to say about Aspyr is that I hope they will be able to expand! Recently it was brought up that they have quite a few projects on their plate right now, and having all of that extra work means that having the manpower to bug-fix and test their released titles is a bit tight. This is a totally reasonable problem for a group to have, and it's great to see them taking on more prjects and maintaining the momentum they've now built up. Further, the majority of bugs people are experiencing are not so critical that everything should be dropped to fix them. Hopefully they will continue to find a good balance between development and bug smashing in the coming months.

I love Gamingonlinux as already said earlier in transmissions live, because I'm always upgraded, knowing everything that happens in the game world of Linux, because Linux is the future of gaming, and also love to Aspyr Media, for giving us this opportunity to try this wonderful game, to me is the best pubicadora today, thanks Aspyr Media and Gamingonlinux <3.

I love the work Gaming on Linux does, being a nice source of Linux gaming news that I don't get from IGN, Rev3 games, and the likes. The community here for the most part is great as well. You guys are filling a void that doesn't yet exist with the everyday gamer, soon the amount of games on Linux will be enough for anyone to switch, and you all will already be on top of things, offering insight other gaming news sources cannot.
I also love the work Aspyr Media does with porting some of my favorite games over to my favorite platform. I have been stuck on Windows for so long now, but with the work they are doing with bringing more and more of my favorite games over I will soon be able to stay on Linux. I'm still on Windows for my main gaming setup, with the exception of my Steambox running SteamOS, but soon, and I hope by next year, the amount of games Aspyr Media and the likes can bring over will hopefully be enough to get my main gaming rig over.

Even though our community is small, GOL showed me that there a people like me, people enjoying games on Linux. For some time now I'm reading the articles frequently. In some cases I would like to have more details, others are quite well investigated including detailed statements by the game developers.
Every game that is ported to Linux is a huge gain for the platform. Thank you aspyr, thank you valve, thank you feral and all the other companies which are interested bringing games to Linux.

I love GamingOnLinux because of quality articles and news. I'm a daily viewer for more than a year.
And Aspyr, how can a linux gamer do not love them? They did the best ports ever of AAA games. Very communicative with the community.

Why I love GOL:
GOL is fundamental to Linux gaming. For most of us, it is the first port of call for news regarding Linux gaming and provides amazing and varied content. At the same time, it has been instrumental in giving Linux gamers a voice and organising us under one roof from all the dark corners of the web, and no doubt the articles and comments on here have helped get us better ports, more dialogue with developers and most likely more games! I now check (and contribute to) this site more often than anything else, not only for the amazing articles but also to see what people have to say.
At the same time, the community on GOL is amazing. The internet is full of angry trolls, but GOL is full of civilized, respectful and helpful people who just like to play games and want to see their favourite games on the OS they love. The recent situation with Liam's departure is the best evidence of this - in any other site, everything would have crumbled but GOL readers with their pragmatic and enthusiastic FOSS spirit came together and have done a great job of keeping the site going.
Why I love Apyr:
No other company in the Linux gaming space has been so engaging with the community and produced such consistently good work. In a time when the actions and behaviours of gaming companies has been under the spotlight, Aspyr is a breath of fresh air that companies even outside Linux gaming should learn from. They have been open, funny, helpful and just generally cool people to the point where many of us would buy their one of their ports just because they're the ones behind it - even if we're not huge fans of the game itself (though all their games thus far have been great).
May both GOL and Aspyr continue their work for many years to come!

I love gamingonlinux and Aspyr media because they are giving away a copy of BL:TPS. Also because Aspyr seems to enjoy what they are doing, and of course we enjoy tu support a company than cares about us. And I love GOL because all the Linux gaming news are here, and they care about asking the devs about info related to Linux stuff.

Gaming on linux is a pure delight. Let's be honest; Steam really did change the game for us. When Valve start waxing lyrical about the merits of linux, much of the industry perks up to follow where the giant leads.
I was playing some Steam games yesterday on my Ubuntu Unity install. It was a pleasure to be playing (namely Shadowrun Returns, Metro: Last light and Guns of Icarus Online) games in my favourite OS and be able to seemlessly Ctrl+UpArrow to flick to my other workspace to change the Grooveshark playlist I was listening to.
Whilst doing this, it hit me that nowadays, Linux is pretty darn stable, innovative, and finally, a capable gaming platform.
I still have to run Crossover Games, PlayonLinux and plain Wine in order to play other favourites of mine. And still I'm left having to dual boot Win7 in order to play SWTOR, Planetside 2 and The repopulation Alpha. But, GOL has come on leaps and bounds, and I can only hope the rest of the industry follows suit and starts releasing properly supported multi platform AAA games.!

I love Aspyr as I loved Loki back in the day. They are pushing foward, having to struggle with technology leaps from platform to platform. They are giving me good games to play on my platform of choice and I couldn't be happier to be not rebooting all the time these days.
