The Wine Development Release 1.7.31 Is Now Available

Wine development team was able to produce a new experimental release today. 1.7.31 bringing many new features and as many as 51 bugfixes.

A new issue of World Wine News is also available: #379

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:
  • New version of the Gecko engine based on Firefox 34.
  • Support for the Visual Studio 2013 version of the C/C++ runtimes.
  • More font metrics support in DirectWrite.
  • Some more Direct2D work.
  • Various bug fixes.

In farcry 3 still appears color errors (same 1.7.30 with nvidia 346.16)

However in other cases like final fantasy XIII and lego batman 3 appears more performance

Maybe more later add more results

I gotta ask, Mr. Death, which do you enjoy more: playing games, or benchmarking them in WINE? :P (No judgement either way!)

Both but playing without recording give more performance*, however if use this time to game prefer use same time making screencast (larger if possible)

*Maybe with recent nvidia 346.16 drivers can be possible gain more performance when OBS-Studio can enable NVENC support (open in 346.16 drivers)
