Feral Interactive are being sneaky, as they have given a little hint towards their next game, and it's quite obvious it's for Linux.

It's time to get excited folks. Feral Interactive ported XCOM: Enemy Unknown to Linux not too long ago, so we are all eager to see what they have up next. Luckily, we may not have to wait for long at all.

Considering the excellent job they did with XCOM they have already proven themselves to me.

The clue is this picture:

Along with "(Clue: genus and species)".

Anyone want to try figuring out what game they are talking about? Looks like a pretty big nod to us for the fact of it being a penguin.

Source: tumblr article and their twitter.

For those that somehow missed it, we interviewed Feral Interactive back in June, so be sure to give that a read. In that interview Edwin did say this about future Linux ports:

QuoteThat's the plan! Although I can't give you any clues about what's next in line, I can say that the coming year should be a good one for Linux gamers!

Oh Feral, you sneaky developers! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

If you Google "Aptenodytes forsteri Steam", the second hit is this Steam profile. That player only has one game in their account, 7 Days to Die. Feral is porting 7 Days to Die to Linux, confirmed. ;)
Interesting theory, but we should consider more seriously the clue : on the picture I don't think it's an emperor penguin but a king penguin or Aptenodytes patagonicus.

Note his wink at the end, he was "pulling your leg".

I wouldn't trust anything Larabel says that is gaming related with a penny. That was over two years ago.

Says you, I believe in big conspiracy ! :D I wouldn't dismiss this theory though, but what I wanted to point is that we all took for a fact that it was an emperor penguin when it is in fact a king emperor.

Though the coloration does appear to be more consistent with a king penguin, it's important to note that the picture above comes up as an image result for both king penguin and emperor penguin when googling.

Notice that the tumblr post doesn't mention it being gaming related at all:

QuoteA clue for what’s in the works at the Source Factory...

Maybe they've started crossbreeding penguins! :O

"Aptenodytes forsteri" ... forsteri - sounds a bit like Forrester... as in House Forrester - which you play in Telltale's Game of Thrones - maybe?

You're right. It definitely looks like a King Penguin to me. I was surprised that people were calling it an Emperor Penguin.
