Voice of Pripyat is a multiplayer first person shooter that has popped up on Steam thanks to Greenlight, it looks like it could be interesting too in a stupidly crap way.
The developer certainly seems to be fans of the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" games, and it looks like it takes a lot of inspiration from it too. To the point that some users have claimed they are infringing on the copyrights of the stalker game. It's hard to disagree when the original store description even said it was set in the world of "stalker".
It looks like the developers got too carried away trying to hook in stalker fans.
The developers certainly are responsive on their Steam forum, and the reviews are "Mostly Positive", so could be a good one to keep an eye on. You might want to watch the video below though...
It has a range of modes, 15 maps, ~70 weapons, customizations, and a bit more "stuff" to it.
It has been around for ~2 years as a Facebook game, but the developer is hoping to push development further with the help of Steam. Originally called Voice of Pripyat 3D, and for Steam the "3D" part was removed it seems.
The usual stuff applies when talking about early access games, so be careful with your monies.
You might want to watch this video first though:

Judging by the video, this looks like the type of game that would get a big fat NOPE stamp if Steam did any kind of curating. This is what you get when you let people vote from a few screen-shots on Greenlight.
Rather poor graphics, poor game-play, and what on earth is up with seeing people's health bars?
You might be wondering why we are even showing you this. I'm questioning myself right now, but it's too funny not to announce how bad it is.
Check out Voice of Pripyat on Steam if you dare.
Ps. For some reason the Steam widget still has the "3D" part in it.

Watched half of the Jim Sterling video, it was too painful to carry on.
Seems like Valve really need to get it together, this is all to similar to Earth: Year 2066.
EDIT: Also interesting to note that there's a lot of accusations of plagiarism and copyright infringement on the Steam forums.

We should try and get hold of "review copies" for a livestream. Might be fun.

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R." belongs to GSC Game World while "Stalker" to estate of authors of "Roadside Picnic". To make everything even funnier I have a book called "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." that is a "Roadside Picnic". And two(saw a third one) books in "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." universe(the game one)
So it might be confusing.

While watching gameplay, it really does look like someone grabbed some assets from various stalker mods and stalker and pushed it into a shitty engine. Stalker itself looks better in every way, even first one without mods. So if you wan to explore Zone of Alienation go for S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Lost Alpha - http://www.dezowave.com/ it's free.
