Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has today added Linux information to their Steam database, so get your "it's happening" images ready.
This is for their DLC pack, so it looks like it should launch with the DLC supported. That's always nice to see!
This is taken from the SteamDB, so it's not a confirmation of when just yet.

We already knew it was coming, but it now looks like it's getting closer to the drop.
About the game
Besiege castles and raid villages in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a first-person slasher with a focus on multi-player. Featuring competitive online combat that seeks to capture the experience of truly being on a medieval battlefield. Inspired from the intensity and epicness of swordfighting movies such as 300, Gladiator and Braveheart, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare aims to bring that experience to the hands of a gamer.
The game is skill-based and controls like an FPS, but instead of guns and grenades, players are given swords, shields, maces, battleaxes and longbows. Set in a fictional, yet gritty and realistic world, players will fight in fast paced online battles besieging castles, raiding medieval villages and fighting for glory in the arena with up to 32 players.

Awesome. I am really looking forward to play this game. Unfortunately I already own it so I cannot register a Linux sale. I say unfurtunately because I bought it on Windows a long time ago and didn't even play it that much even tho I liked the game (a lot have happened back then IRL and when I finally had time again I forgot about it / wasn't in the mood to play FPS/Swordfighting) Anyway, I'll surely recommend this game to other penguins when it will be ready and stable

It was stated that steam counts it as a linux sale if its more played on a linux system, despite in which platform it was bought.

I think this is an in house port so is totally different from Aspyr and Feral , if you buy the game you just support the studio.
Now about if it counts on Linux sales or not as far as I know, it will count on Linux if you play it on Linux , simple as that :)
(My little birdies told me that if it is not released tomorrow it will be released on 26th or max Monday....)

Linux/Mac versions would be really great. I missed so many Steam sales.

You can't buy a game on Windows and then a year down the road start playing it on Linux and have it convert to a Linux sale. The money has already been claimed for Windows. It's too late.
