Kerbal Space Program has been updated again with a huge update, and brings it into the "beta" phase of development. They will now start to implement the final major components to career mode.
The developers note this is probably the biggest update in three years, and they don't seem to be wrong.
What's new?
Upgradable Facilities
Kerbal Experience and Skills
Editor Overhaul
More Mk3 parts
More contracts
More biomes
See the full patch notes here.
Personally, I found the game a little difficult to get into, but that's due to me being spoilt by so many simple games, and games that require a bit of thinking like this seem to fry my brain.
If you're playing KSP be sure to let us know how this update is!

If you have a game about exploring space that everyone at NASA plays, you have to be doing something right.

KSP does have a semi steep learning curve, but with the help of youtube videos I had rockets in mostly circular orbits within 2 evenings of playing it and I actually understood what I was doing! A couple more evenings of messing around building rockets I was circling the Mun and coming back and the next evening my fist kerbal planted his flag on the Mun. He required an emergency rescue mission because I didn't have a return plan :D In the end he made it home though.
That first step on the Mun will bring tears of joy! Once you have those things down it becomes a matter of larger rockets with more stages and even planting stages in orbit for an away crew to hook up to for missions that require you to go further. Building large space stations is also a lot of fun and I had a functioning GPS sat system in geosynchronous orbit in one of my games.
After well over 100 hours with a couple of the pre 0.21 versions I ended up putting it down and decided I would come back to it when it is finished. It is starting to look like that day will be soon!

This is up there, probably my 2nd favourite game of all time =)
Definitely best Sim game I've ever played... (not counting Star Citizen cos that's not out yet and isn't merely a Sim game.
